Like so many other people, I’ve been trying to do my part to make masks.
It feels like the right thing to do and even more, it feels like something – anything!! – that I can do right now.
Of course there are a lot of different patterns out there. Ties or elastics. Pleats or no pleats. Filters or no filters. The options are endless.
If you are wondering how to get started, it’s okay to just start somewhere.
I’ve been primarily using the Missouri Star Quilts mask pattern. I did try some others in between but this one worked really well for me and I was able to get into the rhythm. This last weekend I made over 30 – in addition to about 50 or so, I’ve made over the previous weekends.
It’s been fun to go through my stash and remind myself of all the fun patterns in there. Something cheerful in this crazy time.
I hope that you have been keeping safe and well.
