It was an exciting weekend for our family this year. It was the first Easter for our sweet daughter, Elliana. Of course, I had to make her a special Easter dress – using my go-to dress pattern, The Geranium Dress from Made-By-Rae.
For this particular dress, I used up a bit of my stash of Liberty of London (purchased from Canadian online store Dinkydoo Fabrics). Being that this is the most expensive meter of fabric I have ever purchased, I used it as an accent piece, and sparingly at that!
I’m over at Janome Life blog sharing a little bit about working with different weights of fabrics.
I just adore this dress and Elliana looked perfect in it. Easter weekend was just the right amount of busy, too. Family dinner on Good Friday, Church on Easter Sunday morning.
Have you done any special sewing lately. What is the most expensive metre of fabric you have ever purchased? Do you have a luxury fabric you like to splurge on?
