Elliana and I had a spectacular weekend. On Saturday we ran our first 5K race together! Well, one of us ran while the other was pushed in our Thule stroller (we don’t need to name names of who did what). But a good time was definitely had by all. This was the first race I’ve ever done pushing a stroller and I’m happy to report it went really well!
It’s been a long road back from a car accident that I was in last May. It was a horrific highway accident. I was the least injured of the two adults in the car but still had my knee connected with the dashboard on the passengers side and resulted in long-term damage, in addition to sustaining nerve damage to my left shoulder, arm and neck. Getting back out and just exercising has been a struggle, let alone running.
But, I want to be a good role model to Elliana. We push ourselves forward and we don’t let little blips stand in our way!
She seems to quite enjoy a good stroller ride. Can you blame her?
I mean… how bad can it be to hang out in a sweet ride, eat snacks, tell Mom to “go faster!” AND get a medal for it!
Hope you had a great weekend! What activities were you up to? Have you ever had to really push yourself to move forward with something you were struggling with?
